I had the worst advice when I rescued a small fledging I waited for a long time about 2 hours Thursday and brought it in and put it in a bird cage with a homemade nest to keep it warm ..Mark from Parrots of the world advised me to put soft dog food on a toothpick..I did and the bird was doing fine chirping and eating in the cage with my full intentions of setting it out when it was a little warmer but then we were told from a woman from wildlife rescue to put it outside ..I said it was cool and starting to rain..she said do it.anyway .....against my better judgement I listened to the expert...put the baby bird outside and of coarse it died...I should not have listened to very bad advice...I hope someone else learns from this mistake .as the bird was to be kept warm not put out in the rain and cold .It should have survived.An animal lover and pet owner with birds dogs and fish Elizabeth
